The Challenge
The home featured multiple low-pitch transitions, intersecting rooflines, and areas prone to heavy snow accumulation. These design elements increased the risk of ice damming and water intrusion if not properly detailed.
The builder needed a roofing system specifically engineered for long-term snow load performance — not a standard installation approach that might perform adequately at lower elevations but fail under prolonged winter exposure.
Our Approach
We conducted a detailed on-site evaluation to assess slope transitions, directional exposure, ventilation configuration, and potential snow accumulation patterns.
Rather than treating the project as a basic shingle installation, we designed a complete roofing system tailored for high-elevation performance. This included enhanced ice and water protection in vulnerable areas, balanced intake and exhaust ventilation, and careful flashing integration at transitions and penetrations.
Every layer of the system was selected and installed with long-term durability in mind.
